Hi guys,
Recently I've been really into Lush products, so today I'm going to review the soap bar called 'the godmother'. The soap bars from Lush are very popular, because they are the cheapest product that you can purchase in Lush. I have to admit that the prices in Lush often are pretty high, but all of the products that I've tried out are worth the money and do their job. This soap bar was my very first purchase in Lush and was also reasonably priced, I payed about $8 for 120 grams.
Normally this soap bar is used as a handsoap, but I didn't use it as one. I decided to use it as a face wash, because I really liked how the soap worked. Another reason why I used it as a face wash is, because it removes all the grease really well and leaves your skins soft and clean. In my opinion it's absurd to pay over $8 for a handsoap, so that's why I gave it a try as a face wash. I know that Lush also sells soap bars that are specifically labelled as a face wash, but those soap bars were way more expensive and didn't smell as good. The reason why you can use Lush's normal soap bars as face washes, because they are all handmade and made out of natural oils, so that's why they are very gentle for your skin. 'The godmother' also lathers up really well, so you get many uses out of one bar. 'The godmother' really spoke to me because it smells so strong and sugary and I love really sweet and sugary smells. The scent of 'the godmother' is practically the same as from 'snow fairy', but they only sell 'snow fairy' during Christmas so if you are looking for a replacement then 'the godmother' is perfect. The only downside of this soap bar is that you always have to dry it off with some paper else it will get all mushy.
I also got a little sample of the lip scrub called 'mint julips' and I honestly do not like it at all. The first thing that I dislike is the scent of it, I can't stand the scent especially when I put it on my lips. I do like the scent of the variety lip scrub called 'bubble gum', because that scent is sweeter and more my cup of tea. The scent of 'mint julips' is a really strong minty scent and I dislike mint so much. The lip scrub itself does do it's job well, but I can get the same effect by rubbing gently with a toothbrush over my lips. So I personally find this product kind of a waste of money, keep in mind that this product costs $10 for only 25 grams. So I'd say that the Lush lip scrub is not really worth the hype for me.
Thank you for reading my blogpost!
